The short-term <br />actions are already in process or can be accomplished with little budgetary funds. <br />The long-term actions have a larger cost and require budget approval. <br /> <br />Short-Term: Add FAQ section to the web site; Add search engine to web site: <br />Wireless Access in City Hall and new Library: New Accounting Software will <br />provide the following over a 1-2 year period: On-line bill paying; On-line permits <br />and applications and On-line job applications. <br /> <br />Lonq-Term: Recreation/Senior Center On-Line Registration; Web Component for <br />LaserFiche; Paperless Packets for City Council. <br /> <br />Xcel Application to Boulder County for Temporary Compressor Station: <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons updated Council on a letter signed by Mayor Sisk to the <br />Boulder County Land Use Department. The letter outlined the City's strong <br />reservation about the Xcel Energy application for a temporary compressor station <br />in Louisville. He also reported on a letter received from a Boulder County <br />resident who supports the City seeking a compromise with the County to have <br />the Compressor Station located on the Warembourg open space property. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENT <br /> <br />Council member Van Pelt stated she attended the open house conducted by <br />Xcel Energy and was assured the temporary compressor station was in fact <br />temporary. <br /> <br />Council member Brown stated his understanding that the site will only be <br />operational for one year and only under extreme cold temperatures in the <br />mountain communities. <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons reported the neighboring residents had previously <br />received letters from Xcel Energy that assured them the noise and vibration <br />would not be any greater than what they had already experienced. <br /> <br />Capital Proiect Update: Deputy City Manager Boyd reported on the Davidson <br />Mesa Trails; Walnut Street Park; Community Park Construction; Skate Parking <br />Lighting; 2005 Street Reconstruction and Concrete Replacement Project; SH 42 <br />Traffic and Access Study; Dillon Road Realignment and the South 88th Street <br />Turn Lane Improvement Project. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Phare reported Main Street will be paved on August 17. <br />He noted there is a potential for problems with Public Service moving telephone <br />
