PARKS&RECREATION <br />Memorandum <br />To:Horticulture&ForestryAdvisoryBoard <br />From: <br />Kathy Kron, ProjectManager <br />Date:February2,2012 <br />Re:Recreation&SeniorServicesCenterLandscapeRenovation <br />TheParks&RecreationDepartmenthasbeenworkingwithDesignConceptsofLafayettetodevelopa <br />landscaperenovationplanfortheRecreation&SeniorServicesCenter.Fundsarelimitedforthe <br />project,soprioritizationandfocusingfundsinhighimpactareashasbeenkeytodevelopinga <br />successfulrenovationplan.Staffhasidentifiedthemainareaoffocustobeoncreatingamoreinviting <br />entrancetothefacility,soimprovementshavebeenconcentratedintheentryareaandtheeastendof <br />theparkinglot.Additionally,manyofthedeterioratingsiteamenitiesaswellashardscapeand <br />circulationimprovementsareproposed.ImprovedexteriorsignageisalsoslatedfortheRecreation& <br />SeniorServices Centerin 2012, butis beinghandled asaseparate project. <br />TheattachedLandscapePlanisatapproximately75%completion.TheParks&Recreation <br />Departmentisseekingyourcomments on the plan andwillincorporateyourinputinto thefinalplan. <br />The projectisscheduledfor biddinginFebruary andconstructioninthespring. <br />
