<br />Horticulture & Forestry <br />Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />Thursday, March 1, 2012 <br />Spruce Room—City Hall <br />749 Main Street <br /> 7:00 <br />PM <br />I.Call to Order—Chair Mike Frontczak called the meeting to order at 7:10 pm. <br />II. <br />Roll call—Board members present: Shelly Alm, Mike Frontczak, Kimberly Heestand, <br />Meredith Preston-Eddy, Theresa Rounds, Ellen Toon, Beverlee White. Board member <br />absent: Matt Tepe. Staff members present: Dean Johnson, ChrisLichty, Troy Russ. <br />City Council member present: Susan Loo. <br />III.The agenda was approved by all members. <br />IV.The minutes from the February 2, 2012 meeting were approved. <br />V.Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda—No public present. Susan reported <br />that a draft of the Louisville Citizen Survey has been completed, contains two questions <br />regarding the Arboretum, and is available for review on the City website under “Special <br />Meetings, Feb 28.” <br />VI.2012 Comprehensive Plan Update—Troy Russ, Director of Planning. The <br />Comprehensive Plan is updated every three years. As part of the effort to create a <br />concise, clear vision statement, staff is soliciting input from all volunteer boards and <br />interested citizens. Discussion ensued regarding the City’s core values as reflected in <br />the vision statement, and how the Plan establishes a framework for regulatory action. <br />One example is the development of a landscaping standard for commercial <br />developments in Louisville. As the update process continues, the City website will be <br />available for residents to communicate their comments and concerns.
