Spruce Court, Louisville, Colorado, voiced his concern with the
Public Service power line issue. He stated that he and several other homeowners believe
that the City needs to obtain independent technical expertise to evaluate this issue. He
recommended that the Council appoint a committee to oversee this process. He stated that
if the Public Service request were denied by the City and an appeal filed in the Court, the
City's decision would probably be upheld. He believed that the Courts and legislators are
supporting local control of land use issues and decisions.

Ray Schlotts, 647 Manor Wood Lane, Louisville, CO, stated that he has been working on
information with respect to the rerouting of the power lines~ He stated that the cost of
burial of the lines is prohibitive and therefore, rerouting the lines is necessary. He stated
that he has identified 2 1/2 alternative sites for the lines, one of which would be along US
36. He urged the City to establish a working group to oversee the rerouting process.

COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON
THE AGENDA

Tom Mayer, stated that he had received an email from Doug Greensberg, regarding the
County's objections to Jeffco Airport and noted that the County is filing objections with
the Federal Government. He suggested that it would be wise for the City to also review
the issue and asked the City Administrator for an evaluation. With respect to the power
lines, Mayer stated he had requested that, if funds were available, the City acquire an
independent assessment to investigate whether relocation of the lines is possible.

Sisk reported that he received a call from a citizen who supported Home Rule. He stated
that he told the citizen that he would bring the issue to the City Council's attention.

Davidson reported that Public Service has filed a request to upgrade the transmission
lines to the Public Utilities Commission.
