Louisville City Council Meeting
October 17, 2000
Page 3.

RESOLUTION NO. 61, SERIES 2000, A RESOLUTION ENCOURAGING
CITIZENS TO VOTE 'NO' ON STATE INITIATIVE AMENDMENTS 21 ON
NOVEMBER 7, 2000

Mayor Davidson read Resolution No. 61, Series 2000. He stressed the negative impact
that Amendment 21 would have on the City's ability to provide capital improvements and
services for the citizens and businesses in Louisville in 2001 and future years. He noted
that this is an important issue for the City of Louisville. and its citizens.

Sisk stated that Amendment 21 violates government and that he strongly supports
Resolution No. 61, Series 2000, urging citizens to vote no on Amendment 21.

Mayer stated that small districts would also be affected, including the Louisville Fire
Protection District. He noted that Amendment 21 would essentially eliminate small
districts. He stated that Amendment 21 is the most radical initiative he has ever seen and
he concurred with Councilman Sisk's remarks.

MOTION: Keany moved that Council approve Resolution No. 61, Series 2000,
seconded by Brown. All in favor.

Sisk asked that statistics on the ramifications of Amendment 21, should it pass, be made
available to the public and asked for posting on the government channel and on the Web
Page.

RECOGNITION OF ACHIEVEMENT - ROCKY MOUNTAIN SENIOR GAMES

Parks and Recreation Director Steve Baysinger reported that Louisville was well
represented in the Annual Rocky Mountain Senior Games.
