City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 7, 2012 <br />Page 6 of 18 <br />SEAKR plans to lease 52,000 square feet at 1795 Dogwood Street in the Colorado <br />Technology Center and initially hire 40 employees this summer growing to 200 at the <br />location over the next three years. <br />The assistance would be funded by 50% rebate on permit fees and construction use tax <br />from the tenant finish of the existing space, as well as a 50% rebate of the City's <br />standard 3% portion of consumer use tax on tangible good purchases. The estimated <br />revenue generated from this project is $10,500. Of this amount $4,200 would be <br />subject to rebates. <br />APPLICANT PRESENTATION <br />Bob Harr, VP of Operations, representing SEAKR Engineering, which is a family owned <br />company founded in Torrance, Califomia 28 years ago. The company moved to <br />Colorado in 1997 and took residence in a small building in Centennial, Colorado. The <br />company grew and now employs 400 people. They have outgrown their facilities in <br />Centennial and are interested in expanding their operations to Louisville because of the <br />talent residing in this area. <br />Mayor Muckle noted this package is similar to others approved in the past. <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tem Dalton moved to approve Resolution No. 47, Series 2012, <br />seconded by Council member Jasiak. Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by <br />a vote of 6 -0.
