VI.Business signs and trees—Regarding issues with city trees blocking the view of
business signs, the current process is to refer complaints to the Planning Dept; after
which Chris Lichty visits the property to inspect the tree(s); and some kind of
compromise is usually reached based on the particular situation. In the future, HFAB
could offer to review commercial plans (if signage is included in the drawings), and
offer advice about tree pruning and/or removal, or plan revisions.
VII.Recreation Center Landscape Renovation is almost complete, including the skate park
additions of a seating element and shade structure. Planting of new beds (including the
Bloomin Seniors flower/veg garden) has been delayed due to the drought.
VIII.Youth Advisory Board Project—Meredith will contact YAB in September.
IX.Introduction of Allan Gill, new Parks Project Manager—Allan was unable to attend,
will reschedule for future HFAB meeting.
X.The meeting adjourned at 8:05 pm.

··
Parks and Recreation Department 749 Main Street Louisville, CO 80027
·
(303) 335-4735 FAX (303) 335-4738
www.louisvilleco.gov
Parks Recreation Senior Services O
