• <br />Matters from Staff / Board on agenda <br />Bill Simmons discussed the proposed acquisition of the FingrulAdler property. <br />It would be a joint purchase with Lafayette and Boulder County. This property will provide a link <br />between the existing Esmail open space property and parkland owned bye Louisville and Lafayette. <br />It includes a segment of the Coal Creek Trail. It will further the partnership with Lafayette and <br />Boulder County in enhancing the open space buffer between the cities and to protect the riparian <br />corridor along Coal Creek. <br />Keith Williams provided a letter that was sent to the City from the Northwest Parkway Project. <br />They would like to place four trees along with an artifical raptor nest in the City of Louisville Open <br />Space. The approximate location is in the northwest corner of Dillon Road and 96th Street. Keith is <br />not sure how the City is to deal with donations with respect to the new City Charter. <br />ESCO presented the first draft of the open space inventory. The report can be found on line at: <br />http: / /www.ci.louisville .co.usBoards /osinventory.htm <br />Public comment can be made on the website concerning the report. <br />Dave Weber (Habitat Wildlife Biologist for Denver) gave a presentation on the threat of purple <br />loosestrife and the efforts that have been taken in this area to control it. <br />Keith Williams provided an outline and discussed how the City will use the open space inventory <br />information. <br />Public Comment <br />Ty Gee asked how the Board is addressing possible affects of the Charter on the Open Space <br />Ordinance. <br />Matt Jones handed out the Charter for review. <br />Adjournment <br />Agenda for the next meeting: <br />Update from Bill VanOrman about Warembourg historic designation <br />Meeting was adjourned at 10:00 PM. <br />The next meeting of the Citizens Open Space Advisory Board will begin at 7:00 p.m. on <br />Monday, December 17th at 7:00 pm at the Louisville Public Library. <br />
