Louisville Open Space Citizens Advisory Board Meeting <br />7:00 p.m. <br />Monday, July 23October 15, 2001 <br />Louisville Public Library <br />Louisville, CO 80027 <br />Attendance: Matt Jones, Pat Hornbostel, Bob Muckle, Heidi Ochis, Susan Remington, <br />Wayne Varra, Cary Tengler <br />Also in attendance: Keith Williams, City Staff <br />Matt Jones called the meeting to order. <br />September minutes were passed as presented. All in favor. <br />Recommendations made during the October 15th meeting <br />1. LOSCAB would like to see the vacant Parks director position be a person with a <br />background in wildlife or ecology. <br />• 2. LOSCAB would like to see more research on biocontrol (using insects) before it <br />recommends using this type of weed control. <br />3. Recommended schedule for reviewing Inventory Draft should be as follows: <br />Nov.: Draft <br />Dec. : Public comment on Draft <br />Jan. : Open house to show final draft <br />Feb. : Work session and big public meeting with ESCO present <br />Matters from Staff / Board not on agenda <br />Keith Williams advised the Board that the cultural survey would be done by Eric Twitty. <br />The work will be started after the first of the year for aprox. $2,000 and should be <br />completed within 30 days. <br />Matt Jones noted that a sign was up at the fishing pond and requested that improvements, <br />such as those should be put before the Board before executed. He also noted that there <br />had been parking on the road near the handicap parking lot which might be a safety issue. <br />He also said that there were lots of weeds growing where the land had been disturbed <br />along the trail. <br />• <br />
