Louisville Open Space Citizens Advisory Board Meeting 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 23October 15, 2001 Louisville Public Library Louisville, CO 80027 Attendance: Matt Jones, Pat Hornbostel, Bob Muckle, Heidi Ochis, Susan Remington, Wayne Varra, Cary Tengler Also in attendance: Keith Williams, City Staff Matt Jones called the meeting to order. September minutes were passed as presented. All in favor. Recommendations made during the October 15th meeting 1. LOSCAB would like to see the vacant Parks director position be a person with a background in wildlife or ecology. • 2. LOSCAB would like to see more research on biocontrol (using insects) before it recommends using this type of weed control. 3. Recommended schedule for reviewing Inventory Draft should be as follows: Nov.: Draft Dec. : Public comment on Draft Jan. : Open house to show final draft Feb. : Work session and big public meeting with ESCO present Matters from Staff / Board not on agenda Keith Williams advised the Board that the cultural survey would be done by Eric Twitty. The work will be started after the first of the year for aprox. $2,000 and should be completed within 30 days. Matt Jones noted that a sign was up at the fishing pond and requested that improvements, such as those should be put before the Board before executed. He also noted that there had been parking on the road near the handicap parking lot which might be a safety issue. He also said that there were lots of weeds growing where the land had been disturbed along the trail. •
