Louisville City Council Meeting <br />September 4, 2001 <br />Page 17 <br /> <br />Keany reminded Council of the Downtown Business Association meeting to be held at <br />Pasquini's Restaurant, on Wednesday, September 5, at 5:00 p.m. He also reported on the <br />Historical Society annual meeting to be held in the Louisville Council Chambers on <br />Sunday, September 9, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Brown stated that he was contacted by a member of the DBA with respect to the parking <br />issue in the downtown area, and the loss of parking spaces at the Museum. He stated that <br />the DBA member voiced concern that the City of Louisville is not playing by their own <br />rules. <br /> <br />Mayer responded that when the Police Department moves to a new facility, the current <br />police parking spaces would be made available for public parking. <br /> <br />City Clerk Varra reported that she would conduct a lottery for placement of candidates' <br />names on the ballot, on Wednesday, September 5, 2001 at 4:30 p.m. She explained that <br />Ward I has two candidates, Ward II has four candidates, and Ward III has one candidate. <br /> <br />City Administrator Simmons stated that the RFP notice had been set out to fill the <br />vacancy for municipal judge. The closing date for filing resumes is September 17, 2001. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />ouncil adjourn (9:50 p.m.), seconded by Mayer.
