Louisville City Council Meeting
September 4, 2001
Page 2

Resolution No. 44, Series 2001 - Final PUD, Lot 9, Block 1, the
Business Center at CTC, United Refrigeration

PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA

Don Ross, 924 McKinley Avenue, Louisville, CO, on behalf of the Historical
Commission, thanked the Mayor, City Council, the Museum Coordinator, Historical
Commission Liaison Meredyth Muth and the City Staff for their support and assistance in
the recent project of relocating the DeRose home to the museum property.

Sisk thanked Mr. Ross and commented that the Historical Commission gives the City
much more in return than is given to the Historical Commission.

Bill McDermott, 255 Fairfield Lane, Louisville, CO, stated that he is Co-Chairperson
along with Chuck Sisk for the Louisville Citizens for Home Rule. He explained that this
is a citizen's group advocating the passage of the Home Rule Charter. He asked Council
when the public would receive the City's legal opinion on the questions presented by
Councilman Howard and Mayor Davidson.

Sisk stated that a response is forthcoming and asked City Attorney Light to update
Council on his progress. City Attorney Light stated that he had taken notes on the
questions asked by Councilman Howard, Mayor Davidson and other Council members
and is currently working on responses that will be disseminated to City Council within
the next week.

Brown stated that the list of Council questions asked of the City Attorney is complete.

Sisk clarified that City Attorney Sam Light represents the City of Louisville and will
respond to Council questions as he sees fit in terms of the way the questions were posed.
He noted that the November 6, 2001 Election will be by mail ballot.

Scott Johns, 813 St. Andrews Lane, Louisville, CO addressed many issues of concern
relative to the Coal Creek Golf Course. One issue involved a youth golf recreational
program. He commented on the look of the south side of Dillon Road where the area is
used for storage, and asked that the City clean up the area. He voiced concern for safety
along the Coal Creek bike path where a jagged pipe protrudes out of the ground. He
addressed another safety concern on the golf course overpass bridge for golf carts, where
four-by-four rubber timbers are in need of repair. He requested a school crossing at
Dillon Road and 88th Street and a number of bike path connections, which would connect
to Boulder, the Flatiron Crossings Mall and to Superior. Johns reported on a rumor being
circulated that the City is not receptive to new churches locating in Louisville. He stated
knowledge that the City Staff is discouraging churches from purchasing land and building
in Louisville.
