Louisville City Council Meeting <br />October 21, 2003 <br />Page 6 of 6 <br /> <br />Lair stated the Land Management Department has received many citizen telephone calls <br />and letters relative to the issue. She assured the residents there will be no hasty decisions <br />made and the City Council will decide on the best course of action relative to the <br />Louisville Open Space Management Plan. <br /> <br />Van Pelt asked about the timeframe for the adoption of the open space management plan. <br /> <br />Lair explained the open space management plan consists of two volumes; Volume one <br />pertains to Louisville properties only, and volume two is for the jointly owned properties. <br />She stated the County would like to bring a final plan for the jointly owned property to <br />the Louisville Open Space Advisory Board in November. She voiced her hope the plan <br />would be approved in December. <br /> <br />Sisk stated the open space issue came as a result of discussions at the Ward II meeting. <br />He stressed the importance of discussing the issue. <br /> <br />Sisk stated the Louisville Sports Complex has been awarded the Best Sports Complex in <br />the State of Colorado. <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons confirmed the award comes from the Triple Crown of <br />Baseball. <br /> <br />Davidson reported that he and Superior Mayor Susan Spence met with Congressman <br />Mark Udall relative to the airport noise at the Jefferson County Airport. They asked <br />Udall for his assistance in working with the FAA to change the flight pattern to less <br />populated areas. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />MOTION: Sisk moved for adjournment (7:35 p.m.), seconded by Levihn.
