Sycamore Circle, Louisville, CO, thanked the City of <br />Louisville, Town of Superior, Colorado Municipal League, City Staff, Boulder County <br />and citizens who wrote their State Representatives to defeat Senate Bill 01-5. He stressed <br />that had the Bill passed it would have limited opportunities for citizens in municipalities <br />to sue airports for noise pollutions. He played a tape recording of examples of the noise <br />pollution over the skies over Louisville and stated that Jeffco Airport is the source of <br />much of the noise. He reviewed the changes in turnover in personnel at the Jeffco Airport <br />and a noise review panel. He noted that the panel does not include citizens for <br />surrounding communities. He addressed the Centennial Airport Noise Study and <br />expressed hope that Louisville will continue to work with the Town of Superior and other <br />communities to protect the quality of life and sound space in Louisville. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Davidson informed Council that he had attended the retirement reception for Senior <br />Coordinator Cathy Bittler. He stated that Bittler had been with the City since the <br />beginning of the Senior Program and was instrumental its success. He wished Bittler <br />well in her new endeavourers and congratulated Keith Williams and Staff for the <br />retirement presentation. <br /> <br />Sisk expressed his thanks on behalf of the Senior Board and Staff for the outpour of <br />affection and love expressed for Cathy Bittler. He stated that she was an employee that <br />gave her time and heart to the City of Louisville and its senior citizens. He thanked the <br />Staff and asked that Council recognize and support Keith Williams for his management <br />of the Recreation and Senior Center. He stated that the Senior Foundation paid for the <br />reception and asked that the Finance Committee address reimbursement. <br /> <br />Mayer alerted the Council of the County's intent to move forward with a Super IGA, <br />which would codify all the Intergovernmental Agreements in Boulder County. He asked <br />City Manager Simmons to schedule time at a future work session to examine this issue. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
