Local Licensing Authority <br />Minutes <br />April 22, 2013 <br />Page 5 of 5 <br />time to take care of the sales tax. Rommelfanger asked the Authority <br />Attorney be prepared to give the Authority options on wording for a show <br />cause hearing, if needed, at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Rommelfanger moved the Authority continue consideration of La Revolucion <br />police report to the May meeting. Lipton seconded. All in favor. <br /> <br />Secretary’s Report <br /> <br />Hanson reported Augustina’s Winery was going to again have tastings and sales <br />at the Farmers Market. The organizers of the Street Faire wanted the Authority <br />to be aware they are hiring a security company to augment the security. The <br />Police Department has agreed to provide server training for the Street Faire <br />workers. She reminded the Authority of the Open Government training to be held <br />this week. Authority Attorney Light commented the training would be divided <br />between the quasi-judicial boards and advisory boards so each of the board’s <br />roles could be more thoroughly addressed. <br /> <br />Authority Attorney’s Report <br /> <br />Authority Attorney Light commented the City Council has approved a moratorium <br />on marijuana clubs through 2014. The State legislative session is being closely <br />monitored to determine how the State regulations concerning recreational <br />marijuana will affect the local regulations. He stated the City Attorney’s office will <br />keep the Authority informed on State legislation as well as Council direction and <br />the role the Authority might play in the licensing of recreational marijuana. <br /> <br />Authority Comment <br /> <br />Adjourn – Carlson moved to adjourn. Machado seconded. All in favor. The <br />meeting was adjourned at 7:43 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
