Hearing none, Davidson closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayer moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1381, Series 2002, <br />seconded by Brown. Roll call vote was taken. The motion passed by a vote of 7-0. <br /> <br />Davidson stated that the County is very supportive in the acquisition of open space land. <br /> <br />Simmons stated that the acquisition of the Mayhoffer parcel has been given a Rural <br />Preservation designation by Louisville, Lafayette and the Northwest Parkway. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11, SERIES 2002 -A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR THE ACQUISITION OF A FEE <br />TITLE INTEREST IN AND RECIPROCAL CONSERVATION EASEMENTS <br />OVER CERTAIN VACANT REAL ESTATE FOR OPEN SPACE PURPOSES <br /> <br />Davidson called for Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Assistant to the City Manager Heather Balser reviewed Resolution No. 11, Series 2002, <br />approving the Intergovernmental Agreement. She referred to Section 2.6 of the <br />conservation easement, where the City proposed language consistent with the intent of <br />the City's Home Rule Charter regarding pesticide use. The County did not accept the <br />requested changes, however, the City will have the right to review and comment on the <br />management plan. The Louisville Citizens Open Space Advisory Board reviewed the <br />IGA and had no concerns or comments. Balser stated that Staff recommends approval of <br />Resolution No. 11, Series 2002. <br /> <br />Davidson asked for public comments. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayer stated that the open space funds were dedicated from the Northwest Parkway and <br />he credited Mayor Davidson for negotiating terms of open space allocations in the IGA. <br /> <br />Davidson credited County Commissioner Stewart, and City Manager Bill Simmons for <br />participating in the negotiations. <br /> <br />MOTION: Sisk moved that Council approve Resolution No. 11, Series 2002, seconded <br />by Mayer. Roll call vote was taken.
