Louisville City Council Meeting <br />May 7, 2002 <br />Page 17 <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Brown reported on the DRCOG Annual Retreat and Goal Setting Session. The goals set <br />as follows: <br /> · Transportation funding <br /> · Aging services <br /> · Water resources <br /> <br />Brown reported on a development plan adjacent to the StorageTek facility. He voiced his <br />belief that a Lowe's Hardware Store is proposed as part of the development. <br /> <br />Brown commended Staff for initiating discussion with StorageTek to share facilities this <br />fall. <br /> <br />Mayer asked City Manager Simmons if the May 28, 2002 study session would include <br />the RFP on the LRCAB. Simmons responded he would investigate that matter and advise <br />Council. <br /> <br />Sisk stated that he, Council member Levihn and Kathy Martin, of the Louisville <br />Recreation Center, will review the Monarch Scholarship applications on Friday, May 10, <br />2002, at 7:30 a.m., at the Market Place. He reported that fourteen applications have been <br />received and invited members of Council to attend. <br /> <br />Keany reported on future local meetings in the community. He stated that the Buy <br />Louisville Committee meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 10, 2002, 8:00 a.m., at the <br />Blue Parrot Restaurant. The Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Business After <br />Hours on Thursday, May 16, 2002 at the State Mercantile building, from 5:00 to 7:00 <br />p.m. He informed Council that Prom for Centaurus and Monarch High Schools is May <br />11, 2002 and the Louisville Recreation Center is hosting the after Prom event. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Nancy Va~a, City Clerk <br /> <br />Sisk moved that Council adjourn (10:30 p.m.), seconded by Levihn.
