Louisville City Council Meeting <br />September 3, 2002 <br />Page 11 <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons reminded Council of the September 10, 2002 work session. <br />Agenda items include: <br /> · 2003 budget revenue and expenditures projections <br /> · Resolution for the Historical Preservation Board <br /> · RFP for trash collection <br /> · Police Department Building update <br /> <br />Administrative Assistant Belinda Goebel addressed the issue of vacancies on the <br />Historical Commission and the Board of Adjustments. She explained the vacancies were <br />advertised but no applicants have come forward. She asked for Council direction and <br />stressed that the Board of Adjustments does not have a quorum to review applications. <br /> <br />Council discussed the issue and would encourage members of the community to apply for <br />those vacancies. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Davidson stated that the urban renewal of Highway 42 might occur before five years. <br /> <br />Davidson reported that the EPA has notified the City of Louisville Waste Water <br />Treatment has been selected the Environmental Protection Agency's 2002 National 1 st <br />Place Award, For Exceptional Operation and Maintenance Program. He congratulated the <br />City's hard working staff and management at the Water Treatment Plant. <br /> <br />Keany reminded Council of the Downtown Business Association meeting at the Old <br />Louisville Inn, on Wednesday, September 4, 2002, at 8:30 a.m. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />MOTI~~ that Council adjourn (8:35 p.m.), seconded by Keany.
