City Council Finance Committee Meeting Minutes 12/16/13 Page 4 of 5 FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE MONTH ENDED NOVEMBER 30, 2013 The Accounting Manager presented the monthly financial statements for the period ended November 30, 2013. The Finance Committee discussed various strategies for funding future Golf Course operations and capital. The reports and the corresponding narrative can be located in the packet of the December 16, 2013 Finance Committee Meeting. CASH & INVESTMENT REPORT AS OF NOVEMBER 30, 2013 The Finance Director presented the monthly investment reports for the period ended November 30, 2013. The reports and the corresponding narrative can be located in the packet of the December 16, 2013 Finance Committee Meeting. LIST OF BILLS A list of the bills scheduled for Council approval on December 17, 2013 can be located in the packet of the December 16, 2013 Finance Committee Meeting. Council Member Stolzmann asked if the City utilizes contract bidding for commonly purchased supplies from vendors such as Fastenal. Council Member Keany requested additional information on the purchase of car wash codes and whether the City can obtain preferred pricing from the vendor. Additionally, Member Keany inquired as to whether the City puts out for bid its publication of the City newsletter. City Manager Fleming stated it does request bids for publication of the City newsletter and would provide additional details at the next meeting.
