The new
owners are investors from Boulder and Denver and propose to bring in a new
retail use to the building. For the short term it might be an office/furniture
company, but it is the new owners desire to bring in a large retail business.
• Road conditions are a challenge and the supplier of Ice Slicer has run out of the
ice melting product. City crews are now using a combination of salt and sand.
The public is asked to notify the City of any troublesome spots.
• Anyone having suggestions on how to improve the City's Web Site are asked to
contact the City. Staff will try to incorporate resident's suggestions into the City's
new web site.
REGULAR BUSINESS
COMCAST CABLE FRANCHISE NEGOTIATION UPDATE
Mayor Pro Tern Dalton updated Council on the progress of the Comcast Cable
Franchise Negotiation. The Negotiating Committee is still refining our opening position
and then will layout the initial information to Comcast in a couple of weeks to open the
negotiations. In the interim, the City has asked Comcast for a six-month franchise
extension, to October 11, 2014 to insure sufficient time to work through the issues. The
issues to be addressed are as follows: A customer service office in Louisville; improved
and more detailed reporting of issues by Comcast under the Customer Service
Standards; more clearly defining what a qualifies as a breach of the Customer Service
Standards, which will trigger enforcement action by the City, and revisions to the
Customer Service Standards, which will better suit the Louisville customers.
COUNCIL COMMENT
