Scott Calder
suggested that the art work be on display for the entire month of February
at various businesses in Louisville, and the Recreation Center. Marilyn
Rest, Pat Howard, Scott Calder, and Roberta Gamza (a volunteer) will
constitute the working group for the "Concepts of Love."
By-laws: Anita Gandy reported on her meeting with Annette Brand. The
members were polled on whether to change the by-laws to 24 hours from
48 hours for posting the agenda prior to the monthly meeting: five votes
for 24 hours and two votes for 48 hours. Wanda Marie Tierney
motioned that the discussed revisions be included in the revised by-
laws. The motion was 2nd by Anita Gandy and unanimously approved.
Wanda Marie Tierney motioned that Anita Gandy resubmit the by-laws
to the Mayor, City Council, City Administrator, and the Director of Parks
and Recreation. The motion was 2nd by Anita Gandy and unanimously
approved.
New Business
• LAHC brochure: Marilyn Rest distributed the preliminary brochure for
discussion. Anita Gandy, John Hansen, and Marilyn Rest will refine the text and
present the brochure at the November meeting. The goal is to have the
brochure available for the Young Artists Exhibit reception.
Building Request Presentation. Anita Gandy read correspondence from
Melinda Mason Schultz requesting the building for Friday December 11, 1992
for a music recital. John Hansen motioned that the program be accepted if
their are no scheduling conflicts. The motion was 2nd by Scott Calder and
unanimously approved.
Unfinished Business:
CCA Grant: Anita Gandy reported that the grant proposal was submitted by
certified mail.
Board Retreat Report: Pat Howard reported that the board retreat of
September 27, 1992 covered the history, purpose and goals of the LAHC. The
board also worked on ordering priorities and dealing with the politics and press.
The long term members who will be leaving the board were asked to set the 3
year goals for the board.
• Page 3
