November 16, 1995 <br /> Louisville Arts and Humanities Council <br /> Minutes <br /> • Regular Meeting <br /> Louisville Center for the Arts <br /> Members present were: John Hansen, Mary McArthur; Eric Fridh, Rachel <br /> Williams, Barb Matson, and Ann Lamb, Guests: Sara Gottshalk, Pat Howard <br /> and Verity McArthur. <br /> Call to Order <br /> The regular monthly meetings was called to order by John Hanson. <br /> The agenda was approved. <br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were approved with minor additions: <br /> Correspondence <br /> Incoming correspondence was place on the table. <br /> Treasurer's.Report <br /> Eric reported that we still have 501 (c) (3) status. He presented the October <br /> report. <br /> The report was approved. <br /> Old Business <br /> Building Renovation--city still getting pre-bid estimates for renovation; we <br /> will ask for an extension from SCFD for funding for handicapped accessible <br /> bathrooms . <br /> City Funding Requests for 1996--we wrote a 1-page letter to ask for funding <br /> from city for staff and projects; did not receive staff support but $1,000 for <br /> music program, $500 for folk arts, and $500 Louisville Writers Workshop. <br /> Folk Arts Program--Pat has done great work with folk arts; John, Sara helped <br /> as well. Pat gave a report. All instructors were very good. Publicity worked <br /> best in brochure. Considering expanding program next year to include <br /> adults. Ann moved to congratulate Pat for a great project. <br />
