Cityo f Louisville COLORADO - SINCE 1878 City Council Special Meeting Minutes April 22, 2014 City Hall, Council Chambers 749 Main Street 8:00 PM Call to Order —Mayor Muckle called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: City Council: Staff Present: Mayor Robert Muckle, Mayor Pro Tem Hank Dalton. Council members: Susan Loo, Jay Keany, Ashley Stolzmann and Jeff Lipton Malcolm Fleming, City Manager Heather Balser, Deputy City Manager Joe Stevens, Parks and Recreation Director Troy Russ, Planning and Building Safety Director Diana Trettin, CIP Manager Nancy Varra, City Clerk REGULAR AGENDA DISCUSSION /DIRECTION - CITY SERVICES FACILILTY Mayor Muckle requested a staff presentation. City Manager Fleming provided background information of the City Services Facility. The current facility is old, undersized and has safety issues. The City staff analyzed design alternatives to address the buildings issues. In 2013, staff researched moving the location of the City Services Facility to a more appropriate location and presented their findings to the City Council, who directed staff to find an alternative site. Staff identified 'a 13.3 acre parcel of land on the corner of Dillon and 104 Street in, the Colorado Technology Center. The City Council approved the purchase and closed on the 13.3 acre parcel. The parcel contains mixed Industrial and Commercial zoned land. The City Council requested an opportunity to review and provide direction on the City Services Facility design prior to being finalized and submitted to the Planning Commission and City Council for formal review as a Final Development Plan.
