The reconstruction of the Coal Creek Trail is <br />going very well and will be completed by September. There is a lot of activity at the <br />Coal Creek Golf Course. Landscapes Unlimited is managing the 100 -acre, 5 million <br />dollar project, which is scheduled for reopening in the spring of 2015. Staff will bring <br />forward a contract in August, for Landscapes Unlimited Contractor to provide <br />maintenance services during the grow -in period. This will have several advantages, <br />including warranty conditions. <br />Mayor Muckle reported the City will not conduct their annual fireworks celebration on <br />the Coal Creek Golf Course this year due to the reconstruction process. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />RELAY FOR LIFE PROCLAMATION <br />Mayor Muckle voiced his appreciation for the work provided by the American Cancer <br />Society.. He read the proclamation, which proclaimed July 11 as Relay for Life Day in <br />Louisville. He presented the proclamation to Denise Bruder, Event Chair of the Relay <br />for Life of East Boulder County, and Lynn Wooton of the American Cancer Society. <br />Denise Bruder, Event Chair of the Relay for Life of East Boulder County, and Lynn <br />Wooton of the American Cancer Society accepted the proclamation and thanked Mayor <br />and City Council. Ms. Bruder invited everyone to attend the American Cancer Society <br />annual Relay for Life of East Boulder County on August 2 — August 3 at Waneka Lake in <br />Lafayette. In addition, they are sponsoring a "Paint the Town Purple" event to raise <br />cancer awareness in conjunction with the July 11 Street Faire. She presented a purple <br />ribbon to Mayor Muckle. <br />ORDINANCE No. 1668, SERIES 2014 — AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER <br />8.48 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO MECHANICAL <br />AMUSEMENT DEVICES — 2ND Reading — Public Hearing <br />Mayor Muckle requested a City Attorney introduction. <br />City Attorney Light introduced Ordinance No. 1668, Series 2014. <br />Mayor Muckle opened the public hearing and requested a staff presentation. <br />Planning Director Russ explained Ordinance No. 809, Series 1982 was adopted for the <br />purpose of establishing a licensing process, regulations and fees for Mechanical <br />Amusement Device businesses in the City of Louisville. This ordinance has never been <br />implemented as there have never been any applications filed for a mechanical <br />amusement devices' license. <br />
