Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 13, 2014 <br />Page 4of 9 <br />Marianne Fantalis, 818 Trail Ridge Drive, stated Junior covered most of her comments. <br />She added she is concerned about her view and the impact to her property value and <br />would like a return to the community if we are losing property values. She asked what <br />the City is receiving in the Lease Agreement to payfor our property value loss. <br />Tin Tang, Nighthawk, stated he is concerned of health impacts from the higher radiated <br />frequencies coming from these antennae. He stated cancer has been linked to these <br />radiated frequencies. <br />Brauneis made a motion to submit the new emails submitted. Tengler seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried by voice vote. <br />Closed Public Hearing and discussion by Commission: <br />Brauneis asked staff to comment on the public notice discrepancy. <br />Robinson stated there are 12 antennae in 15 canisters. <br />Brauneis asked if staff was comfortable legally with the public notice. <br />Robinson answered in the affirmative. <br />Tengler asked about the lease agreement. <br />Robinson stated he did not have any specifics but it will be discussed at an upcoming <br />City Council meeting. <br />Russ stated the details are not specific until the SRU has been approved. <br />Tengler asked about the safety concerns. <br />Robinson stated there is a letter from an engineer stating the emissions are consistent <br />with FCC regulations. <br />Tang asked if theFCC took into consideration the close proximity of the towers to the <br />residential properties. <br />Robinson stated hewas not sure how the FCC came up with those limitations. He <br />stated the urban allowances are lower than the rural allowances. <br />Pritchard asked if the 1996 FCC health and safety rulings took into effect considerations <br />similar to Louisville. <br />Robinson stated he was unaware of the 1996 rulings but there wasn’t anything in our <br />code specific to the FCC rulings. <br />Summary and request by Staff and Applicant: <br />Robinson stated staff recommends approval based on the criteria. <br />Commission Action: <br />
