TIMES 8/10/96) <br /> <br />Griffiths read by title only Ordinance No. 1228, Series 1996, "An ordinance amending Section <br />17.68.220 of the Louisville Municipal Code concerning performance standards." <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated that this corrects a reference to another section in the <br />Municipal Code that does not exist. <br /> <br />Davidson opened the public hearing calling for anyone wishing to speak on Ordinance No. 1228. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />Davidson closed the public hearing calling for Council comments or motions. <br /> <br />Howard moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1228, Series 1996, amending Section 17.68.220 <br />of the Louisville Municipal Code concerning performance standards on second reading. Motion passed by a 7 - 0 vote. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 53, SERIES 1996 - APPROVING A PURCHASE CONTRACT TO BUY <br />AND SELL VACANT REAL ESTATE AND EASEMENTS <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated that as part of the reconstruction of 88th Street, it is <br />necessary for the City to acquire property, 3.47:1:: acres, to relocate the right-of-way near the vicinity <br />of Dillon Road. The purchase price of the parcel and easements was $100,392, funded from the <br />combined Capital Fund. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council questions or comments. <br /> <br />Mayer pointed out that in addition to the purchase of land, the City is also providing the seller <br />compensation for crop damage and loss of pasture in connection with acquisition of the temporary <br />grading easement. The land is to straighten out 88th Street for public safety. <br /> <br />Howard moved that Council approve Resolution No. 53, Series 1996, a purchase contract to buy and <br />sell vacant real estate and easements. Seconded by Keany. Roll call was taken.
