G.Resolution No. 37, Series 1999, a Resolution approving and adopting an Amendment to the Comprehensive Development Plan of the City of Louisville, to amend the City’s Urban Growth Boundary. Staff Public Notice Certification: Kenneth Johnstone, Principal Planner, certified that public notice was published in the Daily Camera, Saturday, July 24,1999, the Louisville Times, July 28, 1999, and posted in City Hall, July 23, 1999. Staff Report of Facts and Issues: Ken Johnstone stated the details of this matter as stated in the Staff report. Commission Questions: Chairman Boulet asked how this will change anything within the City of Louisville’s planning area. Johnstone stated that it will reduce the size of the area, there is not actual square footage or acreage figures. Louisville previously extended in planning area much further to the South which is currently Broomfield now, as well as into Superior as part of the urban service area. That would be eliminated. There are also some parts of Lafayette that would be eliminated. Boulet asked if there are any current areas of planning that would be eliminated. Johnstone stated there are none at this time. Members of Public: None. Public Hearing Closed/Commission Comments/Vote: Commissioner Klahn does not see any disadvantages to this proposal and thinks it’s a good idea. 9
