<br />Davidson moved that Council approve the Consent Agenda, seconded by Sisk. All in favor. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />APPROVAL OF BILLS <br />APPROVAL OF EVENTS COORDINATOR CONTRACT RENEWALS <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />COUNCIL IN FORMA TIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS <br />NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Davidson reported that he had received a letter from the Government Finance Officers Association <br />notifying Council that the City of Louisville and Finance Director Dianne Ray had been awarded the <br />Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the 1996 Budget. <br /> <br />Keany asked that there be an opportunity for representatives of the Downtown Business Association <br />to comment on Items Not on the Agenda. They had not yet arrived at the meeting. <br /> <br />Mayer pointed out that long time Louisville resident Joe Colacci had just turned 80 years old and <br />there had been a party with many residents coming to celebrate with him. Mayer, Council, and the <br />Mayor wanted to congratulate Mr. Colacci. <br /> <br />Lathrop wanted to know where the unmarked speed bump on Hoover Avenue came from and who <br />authorized it. He wanted to know when Council changed its policy to not incorporate speed bumps <br />as a traffic control measure. He drove over it not knowing it was there, as he had not been informed <br />of it as a Councilperson. <br /> <br />Davidson pointed out that this is an experimental speed bump. <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, explained that it had just been installed today and signs and <br />pavement markings will be installed.
