Louisville Sustainability Advisory Board Vision: Moving Louisville towards a more sustainable future. Mission: Promoting sustainability through energy efficiency, resource conservation, and localization to better the environment, social well- being, and economic vitality of the City of Louisville. Goal - Develop a Sustainability Roadmap for the City of Louisville Purpose of Visit 1. Review roadmap methodology 2. Provide current status 3. Start conversation with community stakeholders (feedback, collaboration, support) Methodology •Sustainable Energy Plan •Zero -Waste Plan •Energy Study • Residential, Commercial (small, large) and City input •What are others doing? Energy Efficiency - Reduce our per capita energy consumption and make our energy supply and systems cleaner and more efficient. 2. Resource Conservation — water, fuels, product re -use (reduce - recycle- reuse) 3. Localization - Provide education and information sources that promote and support local resources so that 50 -years from now, Louisville will still be a great place to live.
