Carnival stated this has been
master planned before, but because
other priorities has never gotten
completed. Hopefully if approved
tonight we can go forward with this
project and get it completed and be
done with it.
Howard suggested that we look into
the maintenance of the ditch and
what could be done about them.
Davidson asked if it is possible
for the city to pass an ordinance
that deals with the maintenance of
ditches that run through the city?
Williams stated it could be looked
at like a weed or nuisance
ordinance. It would be something
that I would have to look at in
respect to the normal use of it. I
can look into it and give you a
report an it.
Phare stated that sometimes there
is no land or right of way for the
ditch company. I would be happy to
reexplore the concern. I will get
with the ditch companies attorney.
Howard stated he does not want to
see the city get into a fight with
the ditch company. What I would
like to see are the alternatives to
the situation.
Carnival stated the parks crew have
done a great job of maintaining the
parks.
Mayor Fauson moved to accept the
Lake Park Master Plan and the
authority to do a change order with
the existing concrete work that we
already have and to complete the
work in Phase I, seconded by
Carnival.
Howard added a friendly amendment
to have staff look into the
alternatives for continued
maintenance of the ditch running in
that area.
