Louisville Housing Authority will provide the <br />other $3000.00 from their budget. The study will <br />identify what the needs are so that programs and <br />policies are implemented to address the housing <br />needs of the citizens of the community of <br />Louisville. Identifying housing needs of the <br />community :is the first step. It is necessary to <br />prioritize housing needs for the community and <br />with a housing needs study it will do so. Also a <br />housing assessment provides the basic frame work <br />necessary to develop a communities housing policy <br />and programs. One consultant responded and was <br />interested in doing this study within our budget. <br />The housing authority is requesting that Council <br />approve the $3,000.00. <br />Mayor Fauson: Suggested that the Housing Authority go to the <br />City Administrator and submit all documentation so <br />it can be placed on the agenda for proper <br />procedure. This will give the Finance Committee <br />the opportunity to look and see if there are funds <br />available. <br />Haward: Wauld like to have information about the <br />consultants that have shown interest in the bid <br />process. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />PROCLAMATION - SEPTEMBER LIBRARY CARD SIGN-UP MONTH - LIBRARY <br />Mayor Fauson declared September as Library Sign-Up Month. For <br />the past two years a national campaign has been underway to <br />ensure that every child in the United States will have a library <br />card. <br />PRESENTATION - DISTINGUISHED BUDGET PRESENTATION AWARD - FINANCE <br />Mayor Fauson: Finance Director, Sharon Asti-Caranci submitted <br />the city's adopted 1990 Budget to the Government <br />Finance Officers Association Distinguished Budget <br />Presentation Awards Program to be reviewed by a <br />panel of budget experts. A letter from Jeffrey <br />Esser, Executive Director of The GFOA, notifying <br />me that the budget panel awarded the City of <br />Louisville the Distinguished Budget Presentation <br />award.
