it is important that the local people have
something to say about this land. Before I would
be willing to send this to Planning Commission I
would want to know more about what the plan is for
this area other than RE zoning.
Mayor Fauson: I do believe that we do owe an applicant the right
to go through the procedure and then let him
answer tho~:e questions at that time.
Steve Smith
Smith: You received a letter from myself and a number of
the concer~ied neighbors in that area concerning
the former plans that were being developed in that
area. I think there are a number of clouded
issues that. need to be addressed and being missed.
I think the City of Louisville needs to consider
the effect: on the land adjacent to Louisville to
some degree as well as what they are doing to
Louisville itself. I do not see improvement from
the last proposal. What I am concerned with is
the quality of land once it comes into Louisville.
I do not want to see small lots. The last time
the Planning Commission suggested that the
developer work with the neighborhood and I do not
see that happening.
Mayor Fauson moved to refer this annexation to Planning
Commission, seconded by Carnival. By Roll Call Vote Motion
Passed 4-3 with Howard, Harnbostel and Davidson voting no.
AUTHORIZATION OF REQUEST E;IDS FOR JET VACUUM TRUCK
Phare: Included in the 1990 Wastewater Treatment Fund
Capital Improvement budget is purchase of
combination jet/vacuum truck. The purpose of
acquiring this truck is to more efficiently clean
the City's wastewater collection system and assist
with operations at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
5125,000 has been set aside in the 1990 Wastewater
CIP fund ~:or purchase of the truck. It is
possible to fund the difference from the
Wastewater Treatment CIP fund balance or through
projects riot yet undertaken that have been
budgeted within the Wastewater CIP for 1990.
Howard, moved to award the bid for a combination Camel jet/vacuum
truck mode 200M, per State Contract #070-52-08, Item No. 22 in
the amount of $139,993 to White GMC Truck of Denver, Inc.,
seconded by Mayor Fauson. All in favor.
MINUTES
Sackett: Wanted to make sure exactly what Council wanted in
10
