Brand: Suggested that we restructure the resolution and <br />have the attorney look at it. Then reintroduce <br />the resolution to Council. <br />Szymanski: Perhaps things were misinterrupted. Maybe we <br />should look at the resolution again. <br />Hornbostel: If it is council's wish to reconstruct the <br />resolution that would be fine. <br />Mayor Fauson: Suggest that Council have time to study this on <br />our own and maybe draw up a new resolution that <br />would be workable. <br />Carnival moved to have the open government resolution redrafted <br />and brought back before council, seconded by Mayor Fauson. By <br />show of hands motion passed 5-1, with Howard voting no. <br />Sackett volunteered to work on the Resolution with Hornbostel. <br />L. CHRISTMAS EVE <br />Brand: Asked if Council would consider giving the employ- <br />ees Christmas Eve off. Christmas Eve is on a <br />Monday and this would give the employees a four <br />day holiday. <br />Szymanski: Asked if this would be a paid holiday. <br />Brand: Yes it would be. <br />Sackett moved to give the employees Christmas Eve off with pay, <br />seconded by Mayor Fauson. All in favor. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />Griffiths reported that a bankruptcy attorney, Jane Grey of <br />Rothgerbes, Appel and Powers provided assistance to the city on a <br />bankruptcy matter involving American Continental <br />Corporation/SMCOR because of the emergency and specialized nature <br />of the matter. <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br />Monica Mills, MTDC will be here on November 20, 1990 to give <br />update on MTDC, answer questions, receive input. Special report, <br />"Louisville" is out in the November issue of Colorado Business <br />Mactazine.
