Local Licensing Authority Minutes March 23, 2015 Page 3 of 4 Machado opened the public hearing on the hotel and restaurant liquor license application. Secretary Hanson stated the application was complete and included in the Authority packet. Background checks were conducted and returned showing no criminal history. The hearing had been posted and published in accordance with state law. There was no reason found to require denial of the application. Chairperson Machado called for any member disclosures. Tennessen said he knew the Jarmans, but did not feel it would influence his decision. Machado called for any objections to the boundaries of the neighborhood being the current city limits of the City of Louisville. Hearing no objections, he moved the entire application be made a part of the record of this hearing. Lipton seconded. All in favor. Machado called for an applicant presentation. There was no applicant present. Machado asked for any comments in favor of the application, hearing none, asked for any member of the audience who wished to speak in opposition to the application. Hearing none, he closed the public hearing and called for Authority comment. As Authority members were discussing the application, the applicant arrived. Chairperson Machado re- opened the hearing and asked the applicant to take the oath and give her presentation. Sarah Jarman, 302 W. Spruce Street, Louisville, CO took the oath. She noted she had signed a concessionaire agreement with the City to provide food and beverages at the golf course. There will be two beer carts to serve the golfers. There will be space for special events and regular food service at the clubhouse. The person hired as a golf pro has experience with not only the golf course, but the food and beverage service and will help with training. Ms. Jarman noted her business partner also has experience with food and beverage service and will help with training. Authority members informed the applicant the police department holds seller /server training on a quarterly basis. Ms. Jarman asked to be informed about training dates. Machado asked for any audience members to speak for or against the application. Hearing none, he closed the public hearing and called for a motion. Lipton moved the Local Licensing Authority of the City of Louisville find the applicant is of good moral character, the inhabitants of the neighborhood desire the license be granted, the license will meet the reasonable requirements of the neighborhood, all City and State law requirements have been met and, based on these findings, the Local Licensing Authority approve issuance of a hotel and restaurant liquor license for The Mine LLC doing business as The Mine.
