REGULAR BUSINESS: <br />MAYORAL APPOINTMENTS TO ARTS AND HUMANITIES <br />~OUNCIL Pursuant to Resolution #10, Series 1989, Mayor <br />Fauson appointed the following four residents to <br />the Arts and Humanities Council: John Hansen, Mary <br />O'Brien, Jennifer :Forrey and Nancy Westergaard. <br />Carolyn Markham was appointed earlier in the year <br />and is serving as Chairman. Each member will <br />serve a three-year term. <br />ORDINANCE #994, SERIES 1989 - PUBLIC SERVICE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT - 2ND <br />READING, PUBLIC HEARING Read by title only, Ordinance #994, Series 1989, <br />"An Ordinance amending an electric and gaseous <br />fuel franchise granted by the City of Louisville, <br />Boulder County, Colorado, to Public Service <br />Company of Colorado, its successors and assigns.'' <br />Publication and notice of public hearing were <br />established. <br />Mayor Fauson opened. the public hearing. <br />Stahl stated that Ordinance #994 reflects all the <br />updates to the City's Franchise Agreement with the <br />Public Service Co. as discussed during first <br />reading. <br />Mayor Fauson asked if there were any public <br />comments either in favor of or in opposition to <br />Ordinance #994. None. <br />Mayor Fauson closed the public hearing and moved <br />that Ordinance #994, Series 1989 be adopted. Mohr <br />seconded. By Roll Call Vote, Ordinance #994, <br />Series 1989 was adopted 7-0. <br />AWARD BID 1989 CONCRETE REPLACEMENT <br />PROJECT Phare explained that on Tuesday, May 9, 1989, bids <br />were opened on the 1989 Concrete Replacement <br />Project. Vinson Concrete Contractors Co. had the <br />low bid of $39,449.50. Phare stated that Vinson <br />Concrete has worked on past replacement projects <br />and is fully capable to completing the work. <br />Phare recommended that Council award the bid to <br />Vinson Concrete. <br />Anderson moved and Scarpella seconded to award the <br />1989 Concrete Replacement Project to Vinson <br />Concrete Contractors, Inc. at their bid price of <br />$39,449.50. The motion passed 7-0. <br />AWARD BID - 1989 CHIPSEAL <br />PROJECT Phare explained that on May 9, 1989, bids were <br />opened on the 1989 Asphalt Patching and Chip Seal <br />Project.
