<br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 5, 2007 <br />Page 6 of 12 <br /> <br />Koertje thanked Museum Coordinator Bridget Bacon for her research on the sites. He <br />also informed the applicant that they could be eligible for a 20% State Tax Credit for <br />rehabilitation costs of the project should the applicant landmark the site first. <br /> <br />Koertje made a motion to place a 180-day stay on the requested demolition permit for <br />836 and 844 Main Street. He noted that the site meets the following criteria for such a <br />stay as listed in the City's code in section 15.36.200G. Both 836 and 844 Main Street are <br />eligible for individual land marking as follows: <br />. Each has the architectural integrity and each exemplifies the architecture of the <br />early 20th Century to such a degree as to qualify for landmarking <br />. Each has social significance and is and example of the social herita <br />community in the early 20th Century and each is associated with longtl <br />Louisville families. <br /> <br /> <br />Lewis seconded the motion. <br /> <br /> <br />A roll call vote was taken: <br />Lewis - Yes <br />Koertje - Yes <br />McMenamin - Yes <br />Childs - Yes <br />Tofte - Yes <br />Muckle - Yes <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Vote passed 6-0. <br /> <br />Erik Hartronft, 817 Lincoln Avenue, r ntative for the applicant, asked the <br />Commission what the next steps ar w the applicant can get feedback regarding <br />what the Commission feels is importa far as the remaining architecture on the <br />buildings. What are the defining elements, and what is the Commission's assessment of <br />"reasonable cost of restor ' <br /> <br />Lewis noted this wou <br />discussion. <br /> <br /> <br />m on the January 17 meeting agenda for additional <br /> <br /> <br />would ask the Commission members to visit the sites and ask that they <br />ry 17 meeting with some ideas of what is most important about the <br />feel is most important to be preserved. <br /> <br />10-minute recess prior to the next public hearing. <br /> <br />Lewis called the meeting back to order at 9:10 PM. <br /> <br />Public Hearing - Demolition Request 1016 Lafarge Avenue <br /> <br />Lewis opened the public hearing and asked for the staff report. <br /> <br />Muth reported that this demolition request originated with the previous owner as a part of <br />the sale of the property. She noted that the home is now owned by Ms. Rebecca Holley <br />who does wish to continue with the demolition review process. <br />
