L Cityoj
Louisville
Golf Course Advisory Board Minutes
June 15 2015
COLORADO i SINCE 1878
d. Email to surrounding HOA members: an email is being sent to the surrounding
homeowners explaining the increased use of native grass and natural areas
around the golf course to improve water conservation. These areas will be
mowed and watered on a limited basis. The City is willing to negotiate a license
allowing homeowners to maintain adjoining areas to their satisfaction.
e. Update on "The Mine" Restaurant: Changes in code requirements resulted in a
significant amount of extra work in fitting out the new restaurant (larger capacity
hot water supply, improved floor sealing, locked storage for liquor, grease pit,
additional sinks for hand washing) and work is still in progress. However the
concessionaire and the contractor are very confident that everything will be in
place for the Grand Re- Opening. All plans have been approved by the Board of
Health and a final inspection and sign -off is expected on time. As a contingency,
food can be prepared at the two local restaurants operated by the concessionaire
for serving at the golf course.
Interviews are in process for staff including on- course beverage cart staff. As
needed, trained staff is available from the management's local restaurants.
The snack cart and picnic tables between the clubhouse and the 10th tee will not
be ready by the 27th. The area has still to be prepared with a crushed rock and
gravel base. The management are enthusiastic and focused on providing a
quality catering service for golfers and non - golfers alike and plan on aggressively
marketing the facility for events and special dinners, especially when the days
get shorter and golfers will not use the clubhouse in the evenings.
f. Fourth of July Event. The golf course is fully prepared for the large crowd on July
4 for the fireworks display and associated festivities. The Fire Chief and Police
Chief have coordinated plans with the golf course staff. Four police officers and
the Park Ranger will be patrolling the course in a very visible manner to ensure
safety and prevent damage. Greens, tees and other sensitive areas will be
roped off and the sprinkler system will be activated 30 minutes after the end of
the fireworks. Surrounding homeowners should also play their part by tactfully
stopping any activities that could cause damage.
7.
