City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 28, 2015 <br />Page 2 of 28 <br />Angie Layton, 619 W. Juniper Court, Louisville, CO explained she is the Chairperson for <br />East Boulder County Relay for Life. She voiced her appreciation to the City Council for <br />their support of the Relay 4 Life. The event will take place this Saturday at Waneka <br />Lake in Lafayette. She invited everyone to attend the event <br />APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA <br />A. Approval of the Bills <br />B. Approval of Minutes —July 14, 2015 <br />C. Approve and Ratify Payment for the Builders Risk Insurance with <br />American Zurich Insurance Company for the Wastewater Treatment <br />Facility Upgrades <br />Mayor Muckle noted a small revision to the July 14th City Council minutes and called for <br />other changes. Hearing none he moved to approve the Consent Agenda as amended, <br />seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Dalton. All were in favor. Absent: Council member <br />Keany. <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br />AGENDA <br />Mayor Muckle encouraged the public to attend the Louisville Chamber of Commerce <br />"Pints in the Park" event, which will be held on August 29th at the Community Park. <br />No items to report. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />RESOLUTION No. 49, SERIES 2015 — A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE <br />VAUGHN HOUSE LOCATED AT 701 LINCOLN AVENUE A HISTORIC LANDMARK <br />Mayor Muckle requested a staff presentation. <br />Planner I Trice explained the request is to landmark the Vaughn House at 701 Lincoln <br />Avenue (Lots 9 -11, Block 9 Pleasant Hill). The home was constructed circa 1900. The <br />applicant and owner is Ed Wiley. <br />Historical Background: This house was owned by the Jaksa, Jefferson, Horn, Viggers, <br />and Vaughn families over a period of over 100 years. The applicant could not be <br />present but prepared a letter, which was read by Planner I Trice. She quoted parts of <br />the letter as follows: "My main priority in pursuing landmark status, however, is one of <br />preservation -- I want to do what I can to make sure that my home continues to <br />
