Items of Common Interest with the Historic Preservation Commission: <br />City Council will discuss whether to adopt a period of significance for the City at a <br />Council meeting on July 28, 2015. <br />XI. Planning for Labor Day Parade entry <br />The Foundation previously discussed this topic and wanted to know whether the <br />Commission was planning to have a parade entry this year. Commission members <br />expressed that they would like to collaborate with the Foundation on a parade entry. <br />The parade is on September 7th and the theme is Home Sweet Home. Betty Scarpella <br />volunteered to spearhead this effort and collaborate with both groups. Marilyn Hunt <br />from the History Foundation offered to also work on it. Bridget stated that she would <br />ask the Museum volunteers if they want to help with this effort, arrange for a first <br />meeting of the group in a room at the Library, and inform the Commission members <br />of the meeting place and time. <br />XII.
