LCityof <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO - SINCE 1878 <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />AGENDA ITEM 111 <br />SUBJECT: <br />DATE: <br />DISCUSSION — PLANNING COMMISSION <br />OCTOBER 27, 2015 <br />PRESENTED BY: TROY RUSS - PLANNING AND BUILDING SAFETY <br />DEPARTMENT <br />INTRODUCTION: <br />The Planning Commission is a seven member quasi - judicial board which hears and <br />makes recommendations to City Council regarding land development requests and <br />legislative actions related to Title 16, (subdivisions) and Title 17 (zoning) of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code (LMC). <br />BOARD MEMBERS: <br />Current commission members are: Chris Pritchard, Chair; Cary Tengler, Vice - chair; Ann <br />O'Connell, Secretary, Jeff Moline, Tomas Rice, Scott Russell and Steve Brauneis. <br />There are no vacancies on the Commission. <br />LIST HIGHLIGHTS AND SUCCESSES OF THE PAST YEAR: <br />From October 2014 to October 2015 the Planning Commission heard 35 cases. Of <br />these 35 cases, the Planning Commission recommended approval in all cases except <br />one, and in all cases the Commission's recommendation concurred with the staff <br />recommendation. Six of the 35 cases were legislative actions. The table below provides <br />a brief summary of each case. <br />Legislative Hearings — Since October 2014 <br />Res. # <br />Request <br />03, 2015 <br />A request to amend Title 17 of the Louisville Municipal Code to allow food trucks, <br />food carts, and mobile retail food establishments to operate at the Coal Creek Golf <br />Course within a residential zone district. <br />Endorsement <br />S. Boulder Rd. — SAP: Measures of Success <br />13, 2015 <br />An Ordinance amending Title 17 of the Louisville Municipal Code to define a live -work <br />land use and allow its development in the Community Commercial (CC) and Mixed <br />Use (MU) Zone Districts throughout Louisville. <br />Endorsement <br />S.
