A "Use Tax" is similar to a Sales Tax, though a Use Tax applies when items are purchased outside the City and the items
are delivered to or used in the City and no City Sales Tax was paid. Currently, the City imposes a Use Tax only on the
purchase of automobiles and commercial building materials. Expanding the City's current Use Tax to cover all taxable
goods and services, like some of our neighboring cities, would help pay for City services and facilities.
