Sisk:

Hunt:
Sisk:

Hunt:
Sisk:
Hunt:

Sisk:

Lewis:

Sisk:

but I'm not sure, if you want the
charges.

It says further, "If answer is
'yes', explain in detail." I didn't
see any detail, when I reviewed the
application. Did you discuss this
matter with Mr. Lewis before you
signed this application?

No, Sir. I did not.

Was there an explanation of what
went on, what the arrests were when
you signed this application in
December? Was there any further
explanation that you gave the
Authority?

No, Sir.

Why was that?

Because I didn't know the details of
the charge. I also knew that,
obviously, I was going to be checked
through the CBI and the FBI, that
these would become evident to you.

I'm concerned about the fact that
you left it up to the CBI and FBI
report to, evidently, reveal
something that wasn't revealed on
your application. Do you understand
my concern?

The offenses that were discovered in
the CBI and FBI checks date back to
1968 and prior to that. I think
it's quite understandable that he
might not recall exactly what the
charges were at that time.

The concern that I have is not
necessarily the charges, as such, as
the fact that the application was
signed and we, as a commission, are
being asked to make a decision based
upon information presented by the
applicant. If Mr. Hunt stated we
were going to find out about it, why
wasn't there some sort of reference
