He thanked the <br />city, City Council, Steve Baysinger, Director of Parks & <br />Recreation, Tom Phare, Director of Public Works, and Lt. Don Glass <br />of the Police Department. He stated that it was a very successful <br />event with 390 competitors and many spectators. They wanted a <br />portion of the entrance fees to go back into the community. They <br />presented a check to Crime Prevention Officer Jim Philips, D.A.R.E. <br />Coordinator for the City of Louisville, in the amount of $390.00 <br />for the city's D.A.R.E. program. <br /> <br />WEEKEND SIGNAGE REQUEST FROM THE HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION <br /> <br />Duane Duggan, 2425 Canyon Boulevard, #200, Boulder, Colorado, <br />representing the Boulder County Home Builders Association, stated <br />that the Association is holding its bi-annual Tour of Homes on <br />October 9, 10, and 16, 17. Of the nine homes on the tour, there is <br />one home in Louisville and two in Lafayette. He explained that <br />directional signs would be put up each Friday evening and taken <br />down Sunday evening no later than 8:00 p.m. by a professional sign <br />company. The Association requested that the city lift the sign <br />restrictions, as was done for the Tour of Homes last spring for the <br />two weekends. <br /> <br /> <br />
