Many private courses; in the Denver Metro area are associated by a shortened version of their exact name, i.e., Eagle Country Club, "Eagle." There are twenty private golf courses in the Denver phone book with eighteen having the word "Club" included in the name. OTHER: Council discussed the merits of each of the names proposed. One outstanding issue was that some of Council felt that either the word Municipal or Louisville should be used as part of the name for the golf course. Carnival moved and Sackett seconded to name the golf course Coal Creek Golf Course and have the logo and name included in all signage. The motion passed 4-3 with Fe~rrera, Scarpella and Mayor Fauson voting no. SADDLEBACK BLOCK PARTY A request had come to Council concerning a neighborhood block party in the Saddleback residential area. A letter submitted by J.K. Larimer of 533 West: Cactus Court stated that a cul-de-sac, West Cactus Court, is the proposed place for the event. The block party is scheduled for August 21st from noon to 3 p.m. Tom Phare had been contacted regarding the location and Phare explained that this Baas not an emergency route. Mayor Fauson moved and Scarpella seconded to approve the block party request. Unanimous. RESCHEDULING OF COUNCIL'S NEXT MEETING Stahl explained that due to the lack of a quorum of Councilmembers fo:r the next meeting to be held on August 16th, staff is recommending that the meeting be moved to i~ugust 23, 1988. Mayor Fauson moved and Mohr seconded to move Council's second August meeting to August 23, 1988. Unanimous. PUBLIC COMMENTS None. COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS Mayor Fauson thanked everyone who played in the Coal Creek Cup Challenge the previous Saturday between the Cities of Louisville and Lafayette.
