Carnival conveyed kris support of the Futures forum <br />and would like to ;aee it continue. This forum <br />provides a facilitator that's totally removed from <br />any City projects - a third party overviewing and <br />giving his thought:. and ideas. "We need to pro- <br />vide some incentivE~ to continue this forum." <br />Carnival feels the monetary amount can be adjusted <br />but that the suppox•t needs to be declared. <br />Mayor Fauson moved that Council support the <br />Futures Conference Series but not make a specific <br />monetary commitment at this time. Szymanski <br />seconded. Unanimous. <br />MAYOR'S PROCLAMATION - BRONCO <br />SUNDAY Mayor Fauson read a Proclamation proclaiming <br />Friday, January 23, 1987, as Rocky Mountain <br />Thunder Day for thE~ City of Louisville and Sunday, <br />January 25, 1987, a.s Denver Bronco Sunday and <br />encouraged all Louisville residents to root for a <br />Bronco victory in this important Super Bowl XXI <br />Game. <br />Anderson informed C:ouncil that a City of Louis- <br />ville Pin was giver. to Bronco player and Louis- <br />ville resident, Rick Dennison to take to the Super <br />Bowl with him and upon his victorious return, a <br />plaque will be made with the pin to mark the <br />occasion. Anderson: "There's a little bit of <br />Louisville in Pasadlena right now." <br />OTHER: None. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS Carlyle Rowland thanked the Public Works Depart- <br />ment for the good job of snow removal during the <br />week's storm. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE <br />REPORTS Anderson reported on the Consortium of Cities <br />meeting wherein Private Industry Council <br />(responsible for providing employment and training <br />to disadvantaged workers in Boulder County) <br />presented their economic forecasting model to <br />Boulder County. It is a computer model <br />project to collect various data that would <br />evaluate the County's economic health. Funding was <br />discussed as was identify those groups who may bene- <br />fit from the information. The proposal will be <br />discussed at a Worl~; Session by Council at a later <br />date. <br />Anderson also reported that Mine reclamation and <br />subsidence was discussed at this meeting and <br />Council may want to review impacts on our <br />community at a Work: Session. <br />10 <br />
