Previous activities
have included obtaining an option to purchase
property on which to locate the tank and a Special
Review Use by the Boulder County Planning
Commission. In order to maintain the project
schedule leading to a completed tank project by
the .end of 1987, t:he City has additional items to
complete. Three major items remain in keeping
this project on track: 1) Final approval of the
Special Review Use by the Boulder County
Commissioners (May 7th), 2) Selection of an
engineering consultant for design and construction
management services, and 3) Developing the
financing package for the project.
At the April 30th Study Session, the two
engineering proposals were discussed and
evaluated. In ordE~r to avoid a two week delay in
proceeding with engineering work, staff is
recommending that authorization to obtain
engineering services be considered. Any action
taken regarding selection of project engineers
would be subject too the County Commissioner's
approval of the Special Review Use Site
Application.
Staff is seeking auuthorization to retain Rocky
Mountain Consultants for professional Engineering
4
