07/07/87 <br />recommending that. its new Executive Director, Eugene <br />Caranci, be appointed to fill this vacancy. <br />Mayor Fauson moved that Eugene Caranci be appointed <br />to the Lafayette-Louisville Downtown Revitalization, <br />Inc. Board. Mohr seconded. Unanimous. <br />RESOLUTION #17 - 1987 BUDGET AMENDMENTS - <br />PUBLIC HEARING Rautenstraus related that Resolution #17 is up for <br />second reading and public hearing tonight and that <br />Resolution #17 ways read in its entirety at the June <br />2, 1987, Council Meeting. By title only, Resolution <br />#17 is "A Resolution amending the 1987 Budget by <br />decreasing or increasing revenues and appropriations <br />in the General, Capital Improvement, Special <br />Improvement, Conservation Trust, Revenue Sharing, <br />Refunding Water Bonds, Debt Service, Special <br />Improvement Distract 86-1 and Wastewater Funds." <br />Proper publication and notice of public hearing were <br />established. <br />Mayor Fauson opened the public hearing. <br />Asti-Caranci stated that Resolution #17 will amend <br />the 1987 Budget as. stated in its title. Colorado <br />Budget Law requires that the resolution be adopted <br />at a public meeting after publication of the <br />proposed resolution by a majority vote of Council. <br />The amendments are' of a housekeeping nature and <br />reflect: 1) unanticipated revenues; 2) expenditures <br />for 1986 projects that carried over into 1987; 3) <br />1987. expenditures that have been delayed to a future <br />year; 4) reduction in the number of residential <br />building permits; 5) 1986 fund balance carryover <br />adjustments for various funds; 6) transfer of Coun- <br />cil Contingency Funds; and 7) several recommenda- <br />tions for the City's auditors. Asti-Caranci de- <br />tailed these changes. <br />Finance Committee Chairman Szymanski stated that the <br />Committee had reviewed these amendments at their May <br />19th meeting and a:re recommending Council adopt the <br />Resolution. <br />Sackett stated that in the public's interest he <br />would like to stat~a that its important to note that <br />in his opinion, sufficient funding has not been set <br />aside far street repair. At budget time, this issue <br />should be looked at: very carefully. <br />Mayor Fauson closed the public hearing and called <br />for a motion. <br />2 <br />
