ORDINANCE #881 - APPLICABILITY <br />OF SALES TAX - PUBLIC HEARING <br />Rautenstraus read by title only Ordinance #881, <br />"An Ordinance Amend_Lng Chapter 3.2 0 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code Concerning Applicability <br />of the Sales Tax." Proper Publication and notice <br />of Public Hearing were determined. <br />Mayor Fauson opened the Public Hearing. <br />Rautenstraus explained that the Colorado State <br />Statues were recently amended concerning sales and <br />use taxes. This ordinance adds provisions to the <br />Louisville Code bringing it in line with the new <br />State Statutes, specifically, providing that if a <br />valid sales or use t:ax is charged by another <br />jurisdiction, a sales tax will not be paid in <br />Louisville. <br />Mayor Fauson called for public comments in favor <br />or in opposition to Ordinance #881. None. <br />Mayor Fauson closed the Public Hearing and <br />Carnival moved that Ordinance #881, Series, 1986, <br />be approved. Scarpella seconded. By Roll Call <br />Vote Ordinance #881, Series, 1986, was adopted <br />unanimously. <br />ORDINANCE #882 - SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT <br />DISTRICT - McSTAIN, ENTERPRISES - FIRST READ]:NG <br />Rautenstraus read by title only, Ordinance #882, <br />"An Ordinance creating Special Improvement <br />District No. 1986-1, in the City of Louisville, <br />Colorado; ordering t:he construction and <br />installation therein of certain improvements; <br />adopting details and specifications therefor; <br />providing for the issuance of bonds in payment for <br />said improvements; providing the other details in <br />connection with the District; and declaring an <br />emergency." Staff recommends adoption on First <br />Reading and set a Public Hearing for Final <br />Adoption on March 4, 1986. <br />Hundley explained tY:iat Ordinance #882 would <br />supersede both Ordir.~ance #863 and Ordinance #880 <br />which were previous]'_y adopted by Council with <br />respect to the creation of a Special Improvement <br />District for the construction of Via Appia. As <br />occurred in the last: Ordinance, an error in the <br />legal description was detected by Bond Counsel <br />thereby necessitating consideration of a new <br />Ordinance to create the Special Improvement <br />District. <br />2 <br />
