open house is planned for Labor Day and a town
reunion at the museum site. The'store on the
museum site is also being renovated. The annual
auction will once again be held on July 4th in the
morning. The stone house re-construction is on
hold until proposed roads have been designated.
The cupola on the Community Building is too costly
at this time to replace. Caranci asked that the
Historical Commission be put into the City's
annual budget for the purpose of taking advantage
of matching grant funding. Also, the Commission
is asking that the lease of the museum property be
increased to a 99-;year lease as opposed to the
current 15-year lease. Once again, for the
purpose of grant funding, the extended lease is
more desirable.
Various methods of including the Commission in the
City's Annual Budgeat was discussed by Caranci and
Council as was methods of obtaining grants.
Urnovitz announced that twelve sites in the City
of Louisville have been listed in the National
Register of Historic Places. Through a $3,500
grant the Commission conducted a survey of the
City's more important historic properties and then
selected most significant properties to the
National Register. Certificates and plaques will
be presented to the: property owners. Ultimately
walking tour pamphlets will be published outlining
these sites.
SPECIAL EVENTS LIQUOR PERMIT APPLICATION -
TRI CITY ELKS Rautenstraus stated that posting and publication
had taken place and the application was in order.
Mayor Fauson openeci the Public Hearing and asked
if there were any Public Comments with regard to
this application. None.
Mayor Fauson closed the Public Hearing and Mohr
moved that the Special Events Liquor Permit
Application submitted by the Tri City Elks be
approved. Scarpella seconded. Passed
unanimously by roll call vote.
ORDINANCE #883 - WAREMBOURG ANNEXATION -
FIRST READING - SET PUBLIC HEARING
Rautenstraus read by title only Ordinance #833,
"An Ordinance annexing to the City of Louisville,
Colorado, a parcel of approximately 91.72 acres
located adjacent to Cherry Street, in SEction 17,
which is owned by K:lubert Warembourg."
