Fauson moved that Resolution #4 be adopted, <br />Johnson seconded and the motion was passed <br />unanimously. <br />RECESS At 8:45 p.m., Mayor Meier called for a 10 minute <br />recess. <br />U.S.36 UPDATE Hundley related to Council that there would not be <br />a final document on the U.S. 36 Interchange prior <br />to the Public Hearing. The committee has indicated <br />what their preference and their recommendations <br />are for the Interchange but they will not have a <br />final document together until after the Public <br />Hearing. <br />John Rupp was unable to receive an extension of <br />the Public Hearing as per Council's request. Luce <br />expressed his feelings that not having a document <br />ready for review prior to a Public Hearing was a <br />poor approach on the part of the committee. <br />Hundley asked Council to express their concerns <br />and give direction to staff regarding this issue <br />as the Public Meeting is February 20th and staff <br />will take these items to the meeting. <br />Luce commented that initially this was to be a <br />cooperative venture between the business <br />community, i.e., STC, CTC, and the City of <br />Louisville and the City of Broomfield. This <br />project is still of prime importance to Louisville <br />and the City should not be subjected to any <br />development along 96th that may not be in our best <br />interest. <br />Leary expressed concern that land use must be <br />studied, not just an engineering study of an <br />interchange. Also, this is only a report and is <br />only a beginning of a more significant process. <br />Therefore, the City still has the ability discuss <br />these issues and try to resolve them in the next <br />step of the process. <br />HARPER LAKE UPDATE Hundley related <br />held to inform <br />Harper Lake pr <br />attended the two <br />Leary felt the <br />successful. <br />to Council the public meetings <br />t=he public of the scope of the <br />oject.
