Call to order: Commission Chair Dan Mellish called the meeting to order at 5:30 <br />pm. <br />II. Roll call: <br />Commission Members Present: Dan Mellish, Gordon Madonna, Betty Scarpella, <br />Paula Elrod, and Julie VanLaanen <br />Commission Members Absent: Lynn Koglin and Jon Ferris <br />City Representatives Present: <br />Bridget Bacon, Museum Coordinator <br />Beth Barrett, Director of Library and Museum Services <br />Jay Keany, City Council liaison <br />Heather Balser, Deputy City Manager <br />III. Approval of agenda: Members approved the agenda. <br />IV. Public comments: None <br />V. Discussion/Direction/Action: Approval of Final Museum Master Plan: The <br />Commission members reviewed the edits to the Museum Master Plan that were <br />made based on the discussion at the July 6, 2016 meeting. Bridget Bacon <br />additionally asked to update the references of the estimated number of items in <br />the collection to 19,300 in the Master Plan documents. The Commission approved <br />these edits and additionally asked for updates to the acknowledgment section, <br />the correction of a typo, and referring to the Museum's operations and <br />maintenance, not just operations, with respect to requesting possible funding <br />from a Historic Preservation extension. With these edits, the Commission voted to <br />approve the Museum Master Plan. <br />VI.
